This is our running todo of items from work day and planning.
Box Cleanup and Organization
Remove all music and hymnals from the choir member's boxes or return to the libraryDust and clean all surfacesReturn all folders, except those currently being used, to be reused for new membersAssign boxes based upon current choir members and update all the labels.
Choir Robe Inspection
- Inspect all choir robes for stains, damage or odors.
- Gather all the robes needing attention and leave over chairs in the choir room.
Music Library Cleanup
Take the music that is gathered during the box cleanup and file it away- Gather one example of each book from the boxes on the racks to enter into the electronic catalog
Review all the hymnals currently stored in the library and discard any damaged booksProvide the best books for the workers reviewing the pew contentsBox any remaining books for storageReview the contents of the miscellaneous music boxes located near the wall. Gather the music that might be useful for church, discard damaged music and provide any remaining music for additional review by Jill
Ambulatory and Choir Room Cleaning
Remove all items from the ambulatorySweep and mop the floor- Move furniture where possible and vacuum the choir room completely
Dispose of any trash or other items that are inappropriately stored in the choir roomIdentify any areas that might need further attention by the facilities teamFind a better way of storing those items needed by the choir or praise teamDiscard those items that are damaged and are not owned by individualsIdentify items that are no longer needed that can be returned to individuals to be removed
Review Pew Contents
Review each pew and verify it contains the following in good repair- Bible
- Blue hymnal
- Red hymnal
- Prayer request forms
- Offering envelopes
- Attendance pad
Move Piano To Fellowship Hall
The piano in the choir room needs to be movedIt has a damaged leg and should not be rolled directly, use the furniture padsTake care with the glass cover and place it on the piano after the moveNow used on top of organInspect the damaged leg and determine how a repair may be madeSuggestion was to ask Doug to help with this
Move Communion Table
The communion table needs to be moved to the floor in front of the platformThe stairs in the front center of the platform may be moved and stored elsewhereMake certain the communion table is centered and returned to a "worship ready" state
Hang Banners on Rear Sanctuary Wall
- The banners have hooks that are no longer used in the ambulatory
- Determine if those hooks may be moved to the rear wall of the sanctuary
- Alternatively hang new hooks on the rear wall of the sanctuary
- Move appropriate banners from the fellowship hall to the real wall of the sanctuary
