I picked up this book in a used book store in Orlando, Florida. It was written by Charles L. Etherington, and published in February 1952. He was an Anglican Organist and Choirmaster around Fergus, Ontario Canada.

I am transcribing this book because in typing the words I am committing them more fully to my memory. Unfortunately, this also means a time consuming and more error prone process. If you happen to see errors, please email corrections to me. The completed chapters are noted in the Table of Contents below.

Even though I am not an Anglican, Charles' advice resonated in me so strongly that I hope that by sharing it here his sage and practical advice would not be lost in old book stores and on church library shelves.
